VOLUNTEER AT BACKTHIRD AUDIO:

People are always asking if they can help out around the Backthird. And while we can't give everyone that assistant-engineer gig they're looking for, there are a lot of other ways to connect and help out around here. If you care about what we're trying to do and be, make an investment with us - you'll care even more.

Here's a wish-list of opportunities and odd jobs. Some take special skills or tools; others just need a little time and elbow grease. If you see something you think you can help with, e-mail Benjie. We'll give you a credit at the bottom of this page for helping us beat back the chaos.

Cut mic shelves - We've got a great microphone locker here with no shelves in it, and a good-sized piece of board that should cut up into more than enough shelving. With a saw and a little handiness, you can make our storage dreams come true.

Fix our CD player - We've got a real nice Numark DJ mixer with a buzz in one of the CD players. Maybe you can fix it, or help us find someone who can.

Shoot some video - We're looking for a budding videographer to accompany our wedding band on future gigs and gather some promo footage. It's low-pressure, and you even get a decent meal.

Build a song spreadsheet - We need a publishing database - something that lists all of the songs we own the rights to, who wrote them, and so on. An administrative type with some Excel skills could knock this one out in no time flat.

Design stuff - We do classes and events from time to time that need simple, short-run fliers to help get the word out. Anyone with half a clue about design and a bit of enthusiasm could lay one of these out better - and faster - than Benjie.

Run errands - Do you have a car and a mouth? Can we call you when we need flyers dropped off somewhere?

Write this blog - Like music AND words? We want to serve and connect local music-lovers - the Backthird Blog could be an awesome resource with the right folks chipping in. What's your idea?
