Sound Foundations audio classes
Sound Foundations I focuses on live sound systems – you’ll learn how to design, set up and run a PA system for your band, church or school. It’s a great class for budding “sound guys” or musicians who want to better understand the gear and people that make them sound great (or not). Since the principles are the same, it’s also an ideal starting point for anyone who’s interested in recording. Sound Foundations II focuses on studio sound. Students will leave knowing how to design, set up and run a recording studio of almost any shape and size. Sound Foundations is taught by manic Backthird Audio owner and jack-of-several-trades Benjie Hughes. Registration price includes a 30-page manual, completion certificate and small memento for each course. Visit the Sound Foudations page for our class schedule and registration information. Sound Foundations is something new – crash courses in audio for the uninitiated. We assume no prior knowledge. We put you in the studio for four evenings, tell you what’s really going on and give you lots of cool knobs to turn and nice microphones to play with. You leave ready to mix a band. It’s just that simple.
